FRENCH MONUMENTS
France has many beautiful monuments, all over the country.
I have chosen 3 of them to get you interested.
They are all worth a visit!
1. The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is the most visited pay-for monument in the world and probably the most well known.
When you think of france this monument is the first Thing you think of.
The Eiffel Tower is 324 meters tall and weighs 10 000 tonnes
It took 2 years, 2 months and 5 days to accomplish.
2. Le Louvre
The louvre pyramid is located at the entrance of the Louvre museum, one of the most famous museums in the world.
It was built for the French revolution in 1889 and is now a symbol of modern France.
The moument is made of nearly 800 shapes which are mainly diamond, the base is around 30m wide and the monument itself is 22m high.
3. Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is a large ark in the centre of the worlds biggest roundabout which has 12 roads branching of it.
The monument is 52 meters high. Tourists can walk up 284 steps to get a view of paris and visit a museum of the history of the Arc de Triumph.
It was also used as a place to march when Napoleon honoured the french army.
